  • What are bacteria?
Bacteria are single celled microorganisms that are non-toxic, non-pathogenic, non-flammable, eco-friendly and sustainable for the environment.
  • Are microbial products dangerous to handle?
No. The bacteria are completely safe, non-pathogenic and are environmentally- friendly. They have been stabilized for a long shelf life. Always refer to the SDS for further instructions.
  • What do the bacteria do?
The hydrocarbon bacteria break down the long chain hydrocarbons (wax molecules) into short chains. As a result, the pour point is reduced, viscosity is decreased and paraffin deposition and accumulation is decreased.
  • How is this accomplished?
The hydrocarbon microorganisms produce enzymes that reduce the molecular structure of the hydrocarbons resulting in shorter chain molecules. Additionally, the bacteria produce large amounts of by-products such as bio-surfactants, biopolymers, organic acids, polysaccharides and gases that reduce capillary tensions in the reservoir resulting in improved oil mobility and recovery.
  • Do the bacteria “eat” the hydrocarbons?
No. The hydrocarbon microbial will not alter unsaturated molecules or reduce the molecular structure below the C11 order of hydrocarbons.
  • Do the bacteria treat scale?
Yes. The bacteria function to sequester calcium, magnesium and iron. They stop or modify crystal growth and inhibit scale deposition.
  • Do the bacteria have an effect on H2S concentration?
Yes. EcoBiome Next Gen bacteria will substantially reduce the sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) that causes H2S.
